Organisation
The Brabantsch Muzyk Collegie Baroque Orchestra is linked to the Kerkconcerten Eindhoven Foundation.
The orchestra was founded in 1989, following an initiative of three musicians from the Province of Brabant: Laurens Felix, Ruud Huijbregts, and Ine Mulder. Artistic leader of the orchestra is Ruud Huijbregts.
These three musicians are also active in the Baroque Orchestra as instrumentalists; Laurens Felix and Ine Mulder as violinists, and Ruud Huijbregts as harpsichordist/organist and Conductor.
The Brabantsch Muzyk Collegie Baroque Orchestra is of a flexible size, the number of musicians depends on the programme. Performances of chamber music are given by a small group of 6 to 7 instrumentalists, while a more extensive number of 30 to 40 musicians is involved in performances of Bach's Matthew Passion or Mozart's Requiem.
The required size of the Orchestra for choral accompaniments is determined in consultation with the choir requesting the Orchestra's services.
Arwen Bouw is the Brabantsch Muzyk Collegie's Leader.
René Coolen is the Orchestra's Business Manager.
